About John / Stocker John's
John Fittinger started his journey into the stock making in 1989 with Kimber of America located in Colton, OR. He later became wood shop manager and traveled to Costa Rica on several occasions to teach employees how to shape, and finish Kimber Rifles for Kimber.
In 1997, John was hired by Shooter's Emporium, Inc. where he was able to refine his art and desire to make custom gun stocks. This was his main role, however he later learned to install the SoftTouch recoil reduction unit, cut in adjustable combs, and pad combs. John also performed various stock work as needed. You may have met John at Shooter's Emporium, Inc., or when he traveled with the owner Moe Bragg to the Grand American when it was held in Vandalia, OH or The Golden West Grand in Reno, NV.
John began Stocker John's December of 2002 with very little machinery and a strong desire to serve the shooing community . His shop now includes a customized duplicator, Large Mill, and Lathe.
He continues to travel to State, PITA, ATA, & Ducks Unlimited shoots for Trap and Sporting Clays. John Fittinger enjoys shooting at
Mitchell's Clay Target Sports
in Gervais, OR. He also enjoys sharing a building with Giacomo Arraghinni of
Giacomo Sporting
of NY. John makes gun stocks for World Class Shooter's and provides some of the highest quality stock work in the industry.
